Offering Fry of Oryzias latipes Mixed Strains (Medaka, Japanese Killifish)

Offering lots of unsexed tiny fry of amazing Oryzias latipes (Japan). Each lot contains 6 (six) fry. The fry in this lot are of 2 – 4 different strains. They are under 5 mm in size. The Japanese rice fish (Oryzias latipes), also known as the Medaka and Japanese Killifish, is a member of genus Oryzias (Ricefish), the only genus in the subfamily Oryziinae. It became popular as an aquarium fish because of its hardiness and pleasant coloration: its coloration varies from creamy-white to yellowish in the wild to white, creamy-yellow, amber, orange, black, tricolour etc. in aquarium-bred individuals. The Medaka has been a popular pet since the 17th century in Japan. After fertilization, the female carries her eggs attached between her anal fins for a period before depositing them on plants or alike. Oryzias latipes is the best outdoor fish for nano setup. They can be kept in small tubs decorated with gravel and plants.
